At the beginning of August, more than 100 people were killed and thousands of homes and buildings were destroyed when a wildfire swept across the island of Maui. The historic Lahaina Town was particularly devastated, bringing most of the area to ash. At the time, experts said the fire had been fueled by drought and winds from a passing hurricane.

Fleetwood’s restaurant in Lahaina, Fleetwood’s on Front St., was among the structures destroyed in the fires, the musician announced on social media last month.
