For her wedding weekend, Joey wore four different Oscar de la Renta dresses, including a bespoke silk faille gown for the ceremony – a multi-layered, couture silk fusion gown, featuring row upon row of faille petals fused and sewn by hand.

“Joey looked positively radiant in all of her looks,” an onlooker tells us of the looks that were designed by ODLR co-creative directors Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim. “The dresses looked like perfection, like they were made just for her.”

One special moment from the wedding ceremony was one of Joey’s best friends, Sabrina Carpenter, singing as she walked down the aisle. She performed the Swedish song “Tjugonde” by Amason, in Swedish.

“I don’t know if I have the words to say what it means to me and Steven that Sabrina sang us down the aisle,” Joey told Vogue. “The song we chose was in Swedish… Sabrina does not speak Swedish… Sabrina must really love me.”

Joey also shared that her favorite part was when they read their vows to each other, and that they decided who would go first in a very fun and unique way.

“Like most things that need deciding on in life, Steven and I determined who would recite their vows first by playing rock paper scissors during the ceremony. I won,” she said. “Reading my vows to Steven, I was so happy. So happy I got to tell this man everything I adore about him in front of our nearest and dearest. When Steven read his, the sun started shining directly on him as he read these words he wrote from the most gorgeous parts of his heart. Our vows to each other were my favorite part of everything. We love each other so much, how lucky we are to love each other this much.”

“We knew we wanted to get married overseas but didn’t exactly know where,” the happy couple told Vogue. “We were looking for something unique, private, and something that felt grand yet intimate at the same time. We found something that gave us the Spanish version of Gatsby. It’s historic without being dated, it felt timeless, the same way we feel about our love for each other. Thanks to our wonderful wedding planners [Alison Bryan Destinations], they nailed it, and found us the venue of our dreams.”

During the wedding ceremony, which overlooked the Baeleric Sea, Joey walked down the aisle alongside her mother Jamie and grandmother Elaine.

Their wedding party was kept small and intimate with just Joey and Steven’s siblings standing beside them at the altar. Joey’s sisters Kelli and Hunter were both dressed in gorgeous Self-Portrait gowns, which were custom designed by the ever so talented Han Chong.

“Looking out from the altar at all of our friends and family was an unforgettable moment,” Joey told Vogue. “We truly felt so perfectly present and soaking in every detail was pure magic. Steven’s nieces and nephew, and my grandmother did readings for us, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Between that and hearing Steven’s vows and being able to read mine to him… nothing could’ve made this moment better. Also might I add, it was raining heavily right before the ceremony, and somehow that sun shone right as guests arrived. We were truly the luckiest people.”

Other actors at the wedding weekend included Joey’s The Kissing Booth 2 and 3 co-star Taylor Zakhar Perez, The Act co-stars Patricia Arquette and AnnaSophia Robb with photographer husband Trevor Paul, The Uglies co-star Brianne Tju with music supervisor fiance Rob Lowry, as well as, cute couple Phoebe Dynevor and Cameron Fuller, Kaitlyn Dever, The In Between co-star Kyle Allen, Wish I Was Here co-star Zach Braff and Kevin Miles.

Joey recently wrapped work on the upcoming Hulu limited series We Were The Lucky Ones and several cast and crew members were in attendance at the wedding, including director Thomas Kail, who was joined by wife Michelle Williams, and co-stars Logan Lerman (with artist girlfriend Ana Corrigan), Amit Rahav, and Hadas Yaron.

Joey also told Vogue that the best part of the wedding was “seeing all of our friends who didn’t know each other just melting into one another and instantly connecting. We are surrounded by the best people and seeing them all together was infectiously joyous.”

One of the wedding planners, Alison, summed up the blissful wedding festivities best: “I’d describe Joey and Steven’s wedding weekend in the exact same manner I’d use to describe them as humans; infectiously joyous, intentional, nurturing, heartfelt, and wildly entertaining.”
