Every Song In Ms. Marvel Episode 2
Ms Marvel's biggest strength is its representation of Kamala Khan's heritage and culture, and this is partly shown through the MCU TV show's songs.

Every Song In Ms. Marvel Episode 2

The soundtrack to Ms. Marvel episode 2, “Crushed,” features a range of songs to reflect Kamala Khan’s culture. Ms. Marvel stars Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, a teenage super fan of superheroes, particularly Captain Marvel. The Disney+ series has been broadly welcomed by MCU fans because it has brought a lighter tone to the franchise and introduced its first Muslim superhero.

Like other Marvel Studios shows and movies, Ms. Marvel episode 2 features several MCU references, but it also tells a fresh and unique story. Ms. Marvel is Kamala Khan’s coming-of-age tale, as she deals with typical teenage problems while also discovering she has super powers. Kamala developed her powers after wearing a mysterious family bracelet, which will continue to be a key plot point throughout Ms. Marvel as Kamala is still curious to find out more about the item.

Ms. Marvel has been praised for its authentic representation of Kamala’s Muslim culture and religion. The MCU show, created by Bisha K. Ali, smartly uses music to reflect both Kamala’s American upbringing and South Asian heritage. Here are all the songs from Ms. Marvel episode 2.

“Feel So Good” by Mase

Mrs. Marvel episode 2 kicks off with Mase’s feel-good song providing the soundtrack to Kamala confidently walking into school after discovering her Ms. Marvel powers. The scene is a call back to the first episode where she was bumped around by fellow students and called the wrong name by a teacher, but here she rights all of those wrongs as she stands up for herself.

“Goddess” by Krewella & NERVO, featuring Raja Kumari

“Goddess” is played during a montage where Kamala tests her powers with her best friend Bruno. The two try and understand what abilities Kamala has unlocked and how she can control them. It’s a classic training montage showing Kamala discovering new things that she can do and slowly getting more comfortable with her powers.

“Come Around” by Timbaland and M.I.A.

As Kamala and another one of her friends from the cast of Ms. Marvel, Nakia, rush to the mosque and get ready for prayer, Timbaland and M.I.A.’s song “Come Around” plays.

“Jalebi Baby” by Tesher

Tesher’s “Jalebi Baby” plays after the prayer service when Kamala attempts to convince Naika to run for their mosque’s board.  Eventually, Naika agrees to run because she wants to make a difference in their community and appoints Kamala as her campaign manager.

“Keep on Movin'” by B. Stew

As Kamala and Bruno turn up at Zoe’s house party, B. Stew’s dance track “Keep on Movin'” plays. At the party, Kamran flips into the outdoor swimming pool and then formally introduces himself to Kamala.

“Anthem” by Swet Shop Boys

Zoe’s house party gets shut down by the police and Kamran drives Kamala and her friends home. The Captain Marvel worshipping Kamala finds common interests with Kamran, including Bollywood movies and the Swet Shop Boys, who are playing on the radio.

“Be My Baby” by The Ronettes

After returning home from the party, Kamala joyfully dances around the house to The Ronettes’ classic “Be My Baby” after Kamran asked for her phone number.

“Sage” by Ritviz

Ritviz’s Indian pop hit “Sage” plays when Kamala leaves school to meet Kamran, rather than catch up with Bruno to continue her superhero training.

“Attitude” by PayAttention

PayAttention’s “Attitude” is briefly played at the start of the annual Eid Al-Adha celebration, providing an upbeat backdrop to all of the fun and festivities going on. As well as celebrating with her family, Kamala also hopes to talk to her relatives to understand more about the magicial bracelet in Ms. Marvel.

“Husan” by Husan & Bhangra Knights

Naika uses the Eid Al-Adha celebration as a chance to kick-start her campaign for the mosque board. “Husan” plays as she instructs Kamala and Bruno on which groups they need to talk to, including the “IlluminAunties.”

“Peechay Hutt” by Hassan Raheem, Justin Bibis, and Talal Qureshi

Rounding off Ms. Marvel episode 2’s soundtrack is “Peechay Hutt,” which is played over the credits.
