Screen Rant has the honor of presenting an exclusive interview clip celebrating the home release of The Bad Guys, which is available to own on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD June 21. The hilarious film from Dreamworks Animation, based on the children’s books by Aaron Blabey, follows a gang of five infamous animal friends who decide to start fresh after being released from prison and fool the world into believing they’ve “gone good.”

Mr. Wolf (Sam Rockwell), Mr. Snake (Marc Maron), Mr. Piranha (Anthony Ramos), Mr. Shark (Craig Robinson) and Ms. Tarantula (Awkwafina) are no ordinary criminals – and their redemption arcs aren’t much more straightforward either. But they’re exactly the kind of characters families have been longing to see, as evidenced by the fact that The Bad Guys joined a few other recent animated adventures like Sing 2 and Sonic The Hedgehog 2 in both box-office success and a strong showing from critics and audience ratings alike.

In the exclusive interview clip provided by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, The Bad Guys stars Craig Robinson and Marc Maron reveal which moments in their lives made them feel good about themselves. Much like their characters, who have “tail-wagging moments” when they’ve been particularly decent, good deeds lead to good feelings. Director Pierre Perifel, on the other hand, has a much simpler and sweeter answer that should make everyone’s metaphorical tails wag. Not only does it make him all the more endearing, but it showcases his ability to spin storytelling gold, which is exactly how audiences ended up with a hilarious yet adorable film like The Bad Guys to enjoy.
