2022 has been pretty happening for the entertainment industry, especially for the music industry. Some of the things that have happened this year, I swear to God I could have never ever guessed. Here are the top 11 things that were definitely not on my 2022 bingo card.

1. Lil Nas X almost congratulating Zendaya over an imaginary baby.

After Lizzo released the first version of her song “Grrrls” from her forthcoming album, people all over the world on TikTok and Twitter called her out for using an ableist slur in the lyrics.

7. Christina Aguilera performing “XXX” in a hulk body suit with a strap-on dildo during LA pride.

On June 11, Christina Aguilera slayed the LA pride stage at the Los Angeles State Historic Park. She performed her iconic bops accompanied by a colorful range of outfit changes. The most iconic of the performance was when she performed her bop “XXX” in a green hulk suit with a strap-on dildo along with Kim Petras.

Earlier this week, the Korean pop band declared a hiatus surprising Army all over the world. Seven years after the news hit the Internet, HYBE, their agency gave a statement via The Associated Press reassuring fans that BTS will still be around “BTS is not taking a hiatus,” they said, “Members will be focusing more on solo projects at this time.”
