According to TMZ’s report, sources close to Margera say the “Jackass” star was hiding out at a hotel in Delrey Beach after he ran away from his rehab facility. After police tracked him down, a crisis intervention team communicated took over and convinced Margera to return.

Margera reportedly didn’t put up a fight and voluntarily agreed to return to the treatment center. The police will escort him back to the center safely. The Delrey Beach Police Department spokesperson spoke to Yahoo Entertainment and said, “Mr. Margera was located by our officers on Wednesday. He is no longer missing.”

According to TMZ’s initial report about Margera’s missing status, the rehab facility’s manager told them that Margera was remanded in the facility by court order and could not leave without permission. That is why the police are bringing him back.

The facility manager was also the person who reported the 42-year-old stuntman as missing to the police. He revealed that Margera told him that he was unhappy with their services and would check himself into a nearby facility that was better. Shortly after his statements, he left the rehab center in a black sedan.

Margera had previously complained about the facility and said he didn’t like their treatment or services. Part of his frustration stemmed from not getting special celebrity treatment, unlike the other rehab centers he had been to in the past.

During his few days outside the center, he was quite busy. In May this year, Margera celebrated completing a year of treatment at the drug and alcohol rehab facility on his social media. His post at the time declared himself as “back” and “free.” He also told TMZ at the time that his next goal was to return to Southern California and work with a team of sober skaters.

He was also staying with his wife, Nicole Boys, and Wolf, their four-year-old son. She filed for custody of their son late last year but not for divorce, so the couple is still married. Margera had been off his medication since he fled from the facility, and the staff worried he would relapse.

Margera’s sobriety journey has been quite hectic. He was taken back to rehab by court order after police received a tip that Margera had attacked a woman in his hotel room while drugged up on cocaine. This was shortly after his wife filed for full custody of their son.

In 2019, Margera went to rehab after police arrested him for trespassing in a Los Angeles hotel. Shortly after, he posted a social media video pleading for help from Dr. Phil and saying that he had gone to four rehab programs and consulted with 28 doctors, none of whom had helped him.

Margera was also fired from “Jackass Forever,” the last film in the franchise, which premiered in February. The studio terminated Margera’s contract because he violated a sobriety condition, although he claims the team already knew he used Adderall to treat his attention deficit disorder. He sued Paramount Pictures, and it was settled out of court in a private settlement.
