Lauren Graham & Peter Krause Have Called It Quits

The Braverman family would NOT be celebrating this news.

Long-time couple Lauren Graham and Peter Krause are no more. The former “Parenthood” co-stars parted ways after dating for just over a decade, in the same way they had managed to maintain their relationship while in the public eye: privately.

Graham and Krause had managed to keep news of their break-up under wraps for a while.

According to People, the duo had broken up last year. Their split had been confirmed by Graham’s representative.

Any celebrity culture sleuths who are curious to find out why the former co-stars had decided to call it quits on their relationship, would have to search long and hard!

The lengths to which Graham, 55, and Krause, 56, had gone to keep their relationship out of the spotlight were well-known. The outlet also reported the couple “had both been vocal about one another during interviews and talk show appearances.”

The duo was indeed generous in revealing bits and pieces about their relationship with the public.

Like their TV family on “Parenthood,” Krause and Graham had built a close family unit together. So close to the point where she had seemingly been left out of Krause’s routine with his son at the beginning of the pandemic!

“It was more like they were the married couple,” she had told Ellen DeGeneres, as per People. “They were like, ‘We don’t do it that way anymore’ in the kitchen or whatever. They were like, No, no, no, this is how things happen.”

Krause and his son’s total revamp of their home routine happened while Graham had been away filming “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.”

The road to a relationship between Graham and Krause had been a long one; the couple had known each other for nearly 20 years before “Parenthood” brought them together as co-stars on screen.

“Once we got together,” Graham had once reflected on the start of their romantic relationship, “There was no game play[ing], it was like, ‘You like me, and I like you,’ it gave me an understanding of life: this is how things happen, and it’s completely random.” (via Us Weekly)

The couple put their professional life first, once they began dating. Graham told Redbook during an interview she had felt “really protective” of their relationship.

“It’s important that you can buy us as brother and sister,” she added, per People.

Maintaining a low-key personal life while working in a fast-paced industry was a secret to the couple’s success during their early days together! Graham had also revealed to “Redbook,” “Nobody knew about it for a while because we like being home, cooking and not going out.”

Lorelai Gilmore would definitely approve of Graham’s early inclination that she and Krause had chemistry off camera!

“We couldn’t stop talking,” Graham shared in an interview with Good Housekeeping, “Not about ourselves, but about the world and books and family,” she clarified. (via Us Weekly)

At least those of us who are mourning the end of Lauren Graham and Peter Krause’s relationship: The twosome will forever be immortalized together on screen as long as “Parenthood” is streaming! The series is available to watch on both Peacock and Hulu.
