Bob Saget Death Leak Leads To Discipline For Florida Deputies
Comedian Bob Saget passed away in a hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando, Florida back in January.
A forensic expert concluded the “Full House” star had passed away of a brain bleed caused by a blunt force trauma. However, it is still unclear what the “How I Met Your Mother” narrator hit his head on to cause such a fatal injury. A toxicology report found no drugs or alcohol present in his bloodstream and Saget was seen smiling and taking photos with fans only hours before his death.
How he died is a mystery to many, but two Florida deputies are being slapped with harsh penalties for spreading the word of his death before even his wife, Kelly Rizzo, was told of his passing.
Florida Deputies Face Penalties For Spreading The Death Of Bob Saget
According to the New York Post, deputies Emiliano Silva and Steven Reed have been slapped with harsh penalties for spreading the word of Bob Saget’s death before being authorized to do so, according to a statement put out by the Orange County Sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office revealed that they were being flooded with media inquiries and the news had been made public before Rizzo had even been told that her husband had passed away.
Silva, who was one of the first responders to arrive at the scene, told his brother that the “America’s Funniest Home Videos” host had passed away. As a result, his brother posted the news on Twitter. Reed was off-duty at the time of Saget’s passing; however, he had been informed of the incident and told some friends about Saget’s death. Those friends are believed to have also taken to social media to report the news.
As a result, several news outlets had already reported that Bob Saget passed away before homicide detectives had a chance to arrive on the scene. At this time, it is unclear what penalties those two deputies will face since that information has not been disclosed to the public. However, it doesn’t appear they will lose their jobs over it.
Netflix Tribute To Bob Saget Aired Earlier This Month
On June 10, a special Netflix tribute to Bob Saget premiered on Netflix. The tribute was called “Dirty Daddy: The Bob Saget Tribute” and is currently available to stream.
Bob Saget’s nearest and dearest — John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Jim Carrey, Chris Rock, Jeff Ross, John Mayer, and more — came together to pay tribute to the comedy trailblazer who left us far too soon.

As the video suggests, Bob’s closest friends, including John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Jim Carrey, Chris Rock, Jeff Ross, and John Mayer, all take a moment to talk about the substantial impact that Bob had on their life.
Rizzo made a quick appearance at the beginning of the special to give an emotional speech before breaking down in tears. His daughters join the stage later on in the special as they all join in a sing-a-long to one of Bob’s favorite comedy songs. Throughout the special, comedians like Dave Chapelle and Tim Allen also get a chance at the microphone to share their favorite memories of the late comedian.
“Welcome to the Bob super spreader, everybody,” close friend Jeff Ross says at one point in the Netflix special.
“We’re comin’ to see ya, Bob,” echoes “The Truman Show” actor Jim Carrey.
“I think it’s sad that the motherf—er had to die to get Jim Carrey back on stage,” says Chris Rock.
Rizzo recently opened up in a panel discussion with PEOPLE to talk about how her relationship with Bob Saget has changed since he passed away.
“It’s like, he’s still my husband,” Rizzo said. “It’s not like, ‘Oh, he’s my former husband.’ It’s like … the relationship is different now. It’s just — it is what it is.”
Rizzo added that her relationship with Saget’s daughters has been helpful to dealing with her grief.
“I know Bob would want me to be there for his girls,” she explained. “I’m not as focused on my own grief when I’m trying to help them or support them or be there for them. When I’m doing little things to try to make them happy, it kind of takes me out of my head. And I’m also at the same time being like, ‘Oh, this would make Bob so happy, just knowing that I’m trying to make them happy.’”
