Beyoncé Looks Ravishing On The Cover Of Vogue Ushering In Her New Era In Music

Music icon Beyoncé has released her new single “Break My Soul” from her upcoming album titled “Renaissance.” The song premiered midnight ET. She made no formal announcement of the song’s release, instead choosing to reveal it on her social media bios.

Last week, the 28-time Grammy Award winner teased the launch of her next solo studio album, “Renaissance,” which will be released on July 29th. The album will reportedly have 16 tracks and is Beyonce’s first album in 6 years, serving as a follow-up to 2016’s “Lemonade.”

To make things even better, British Vogue announced Beyoncé as their cover star for the magazine’s July edition. The superstar singer and actress then released teaser shots from the photoshoot for the cover editorial. With the release of the new single and the vogue editorial, the anticipation for the album is fever high.

On Thursday last week, British Vogue announced that they were featuring Beyoncé as their July 2022 cover star, following the reveal of “Renaissance.” The announcement came with posts of some of the pictures from the cover shoot.

Rafael Pavarotti captured the photos, which embodied Beyoncé’s several glamorous eras with a fashion fantasia style and theme. One iconic look featured Queen Bey wearing a gold sequin coat embroidered with rhinestones and haute couture jewelry.

Another photo featured the Emmy nominee wearing a Junya Watanabe leather jacket with a beaded leather headpiece and white gold and diamond earrings. Early on Monday, she released four new photos from the shoot, three of which featured new outfits and styles. It only revved up anticipation for the new single and the album.

According to Enninful, Beyoncé also played a very active creative role in planning and executing the beautiful Vogue shoot. He spoke about their communication and planning process and said she was “a writer of excellent and lengthy texts.”

He also said, “B wanted to play with fashion like never before, and as we swapped references (from the 1990s garage scene to ’80s excess), talked hair and beauty, and got to know her team, a vision of glittering retro-futurism began to take shape.”

“When we were on set it was a magical mood and soon B was walking around feeling easy and free to be herself,” he continued, “Her husband and kids came to surprise her on set. It was a family day out – albeit a slightly surreal one.”

Beyoncé triggered rumors about the new album when she deleted the profile pictures of all her social media accounts earlier this month. When she finally confirmed it with the Vogue editorial announcement and the album reveal, fans were super excited.

She then amped up the anticipation when fans woke up today to see something different on her social media pages. There was a single sentence in her bio which read, “BREAK MY SOUL midnight ET.” Fans immediately took to Twitter and Instagram to share the news and their excitement.

The announcement was surprising as Beyoncé usually makes her announcements via an Instagram post or live performance. Some fans expected her to drop a new single over the weekend or on Juneteenth itself. The expectation was in line with the release of her last single, “Black Parade,” on that day two years ago.

Some fans have speculated that “Break My Heart” is the sixth single on the album and that her timing of not releasing it on Juneteenth weekend is symbolic. They think it means that the song has no relation to the holiday, unlike “Black Parade.”

On Thursday, Beyoncé announced that the highly anticipated seventh album would arrive on July 29th. According to Variety, the album will feature songs in the dance and country genres and features contributions from several star songwriters and singers.

The source also said that hit songwriter Ryan Tedder, who famously co-wrote Beyoncé’s hit song, “Halo,” worked on the album. Another songwriting icon involved in the album is Raphael Saadiq, who has produced hit songs for Stevie Wonder, Mary J.Blige, John Legend, and Solange.

Edward Enninful, British Vogue’s editor-in-chief, is the source of the only public information about the album. In the cover feature tease, he wrote, “Instantly, a wall of sound hits me. Soaring vocals and fierce beats combine, and in a split second, I’m transported back to the clubs of my youth. I want to get up and start throwing moves.”

“It’s music I love to my core,” he continued, “Music that makes you rise, that turns your mind to cultures and subcultures, to our people past and present, music that will unite so many on the dance floor, music that touches your soul. As ever with Beyoncé, it is all about the intent. I sit back, after the wave, absorbing it all.”
