Stevie J Apologizes To Estranged Wife Faith Evans In Mother’s Day Post: ‘Learned My Lesson’
Steven Aaron Jordan, otherwise known as Stevie J, seems to be turning a new leaf regarding his contention with his ex-wife Faith Evans.

Prominent DJ Steven Aaron Jordan, otherwise known as Stevie J, seems to be turning a new leaf regarding his contention with his ex-wife Faith Evans.

The former couple were close buddies for over two decades and later tied the knot in 2018. However, their romance was short-lived as their marital union ended in 2021.

Despite their separation, Stevie still loves his estranged wife, and he took to Instagram on Mother’s day to honor and make a public apology to her with heartfelt words.

Stevie J Promises To Be A Better Person To Ex-Wife Faith Evans

The disc jockey began the touching message with, “Faith Rene Jordan, I’ve hurt you, disrespected you, and humiliated you in front of the world.”

He continued, “From this day forward, I promise to listen to your feelings and be more delicate with your heart. I also promise to build you up even more & to communicate daily with you, respect you, and love you until you’re as happy as you were when we got married.”

Stevie believed he had learned his lesson, and he admitted to being a better man with Evans in his life after declaring that he never wanted to live without his former spouse.

He further concluded the note with, “I’m asking you to find it in your heart to forgive me and allow me to rebuild our trust. Happy Mothers Day x I love you.”

Above the caption, the remorseful star shared a picture of himself and Evans looking dapper in fur-lined clothing and posing beside their vehicle.

Tons of fans were taken with the post as they flooded it with likes; however, the comments section was disabled.

It is no news that Stevie and Evans were intimate friends before getting married, and they collaborated on several projects years ago under the record label Bad Boy Records.

Two years after going official with their marriage on the seventh season of “Love &Hip Hop: Atlanta,” their union got unstable due to domestic violence.

The Blast previously reported that Evans allegedly attacked her then-husband in their L.A. home after an intense argument.

At the time, the 48-year-old was charged for the incident after the cops reportedly noticed visible scratches and marks on Stevie’s face. Despite the episode, the conflicted couple’s love still held on, and they united shortly after.

In the news outlet’s report, the estranged couple stayed together for three years, and the 50-year-old producer filed for divorce at the Los Angeles County Superior Court nearly a week after his 50th birthday.

The divorce came as a shock to fans who previously witnessed the R&B songstress’ tribute on the memorable birthday, telling her man to “hurry up” so they could have a good time together.

Neither Stevie nor Evans commented on the divorce then, but the songstress was noted not to have changed her social media profile picture, showing her and Stevie in a lovey-dovey posture.

Last November, amidst their divorce, Stevie accused Evans of being involved in extramarital affairs in their home, which led to a heated exchange between the two.

As shared by The Blast, a leaked video showed the altercation between the former couple where they were verbally hostile to each other.

Before the clip concluded, Evans told the record producer to leave her alone and grow up while she left the conflicting space.

The alienated partners’ relationship was pretty confusing back then as they went from intense arguments to ‘loved-up’ social media posts, showing their then marriage was not as clashing as it seemed.

However, the “Gone Already” singer voiced her thoughts the following month regarding the divorce and requested that her ex-spouse be denied the ability to collect spousal support.

The legal documents obtained by The Blast showed that Evans wanted to hold on to all her personal resources after the divorce.

She requested “all property acquired prior to marriage, by gift, inheritance, or devise, and after the date of separation.”

The music star also asserted that “the exact nature of such assets and debts are not yet fully known and (she) will amend her petition or supplement it at the time of trial.”

The divorce requisition was eventually made available to the public, noting Stevie’s request for spousal support from Evans and different dates the couple indicated as the day they officially separated.

The TV personality’s filing showed they split on October 19, 2021, while the Grammy Award-winning vocalist’s contradicting entry showed May 29, 2020.
