Emilia Clarke, who played the central Game of Thrones character Daenerys Targaryen in HBO’s Game of Thrones, has said she has no desire to come back to the fantasy universe.

In the wake of the news that Kit Harington pitched George R.R. Martin and HBO on a successor show about Jon Snow, the BBC asked Clarke if she might considering coming back. She said plainly and directly, “No, I think I’m done.”

While Clarke is not coming back to the Game of Thrones universe anytime soon, her family ancestor’s backstory is getting the spotlight in the spin-off show House of the Dragon, which releases on August 21.

Clarke’s Game of Thrones character, Daenerys, died in the final season of Game of Thrones. Clarke later spoke about the ending and how it didn’t exactly live up to expectations.

Clarke was not originally even set to appear in Game of Thrones at all. The show’s pilot episode featured actress Tamzin Merchant as Daenerys, but the pilot episode was a mess, and it was re-shot and recast.
