NBA Star Kevin Love And Model Kate Bock Tie The Knot In Gatsby Inspired Wedding
Model Kate Bock and NBA star Kevin Love started their new chapter as husband and wife with a glamorous wedding in New York City over the weekend. Transforming the New York City Public Library to go back in time to an “old-school NYC, black and white, Gatsby-inspired ball,” the two said “I do” in front of family and friends after being engaged since January 2021.
It Had To Be NYC
Bock, 34, model and founder of Love Kate, told People, “The city is so much a part of our story and it felt so right to bring all of our favorite people together into such an iconic New York City institution. Kevin and I are both very curious people and love literature, art, and history and the New York Public Library encompasses all of that in such a romantic setting.” She went on to say, “It evokes the old-school New York glamour we were searching for and is so iconic to the city that we love. We also love that it is so close by to the place we had our first date – the St. Regis Hotel.”
It Was a Great Gatsby Themed Celebration
Their wedding planner Marcy Blum helped to transform the venue into a moment back in time as a Great Gatsby-inspired ball, and all guests were asked to wear black and white for the couple’s big day. Bock explained the event as, “ball evoking old-school NYC glamour, inspired by the Great Gatsby, Frank Sinatra and the Hollywood icons of the ’50s and ’60s.” Bock told People, “We thought it was chic, timeless and elegant.” After the ceremony and reception, the celebration continued at the after-party at the Bryant Park Hotel’s Célon Lounge.
