Michelle Young’s ex Nayte Olukoya has had enough of people claiming that his relationship with “The Bachelorette” star ended over his infidelity.

To that end, the reality star made an unexpected move to address the allegations weeks after they started.

The duo split up earlier this month, following a short-lived relationship that kicked off on the 18th season of “The Bachelorette.”

After she missed out on finding love on season 25 of “The Bachelor,” Young got another shot on the show when she landed the lead on “The Bachelorette.”

Although 30 men competed to win the elementary school teacher’s heart for this turn, Olukoya caught her eye.

However, before she agreed to be his wife, Young made it compulsory for Olukoya to meet her parents, Ephraim and LaVonne – a task he did not refuse to do.

Their subsequent engagement made them the first-ever Black couple to get engaged on “The Bachelorette.”

Unfortunately, the pair’s relationship ended before they could walk the aisle to their happily-ever-after earlier this month. Since then, observers have speculated that the duo parted thanks to Olukoya’s cheating.

After weeks of these cheating allegations making the rounds, Olukoya has spoken to defend himself.

The reality star used his Instagram story to share an itemized list denying the infidelity speculations and allegations and even answering questions about the breakup.

The first point read, “No, I didn’t cheat,” while the second explained that it was unnecessary for every breakup to “have someone to blame.”

For his third point, Olukoya observed that people might have assumed he was a cheat because of his piercings and tattoos. He maintained that he was a decent guy who constantly worked on himself despite those bodily alterations.

With his 11th and 12th points, he revealed that he and his ex-fiancee tried to make their relationship work, but the “insane pressure” made it next to impossible.

He ended the lengthy statement by thanking the “kind people, sending kind things, and respecting both Michelle and I. THANK YOU.”

When the pair ended their relationship, The Blast reported that the former couple announced their split through their respective social media handles.

Young’s official announcement, which came soon after she addressed rumors about their relationship status, read in parts:

“To those who have supported Nayte and I, including Bachelor Nation, I know I speak for the both of us when saying having a relationship in the public eye has not been easy.”

The 29-year-old disclosed that it was a struggle to admit that she and Olukoya would be going their separate ways. Despite their split, “The Bachelor” alum said that she stood with her ex-fiance, knowing they were both hurt by the separation.

Olukoya, on the other hand, was straightforward with breaking the news of their split and wrote:

“Michelle and I are going to move forward separately. Hearts are heavy. Emotions are high, and we are dealing with this the best way we can.”

The Texas resident said that even though he and Young started their journey to find their soulmates, they had learned that just because you love somebody does not mean you can spend forever with them.

Michelle Young Had More Than A Few Words For Relationship Watchers

Regarding the time that Young had to address rumors about her relationship status, The Blast shared that she uploaded a series of clips to her Instagram Story that showed her lying on a bed.

The videos had become necessary after people wondered why she had been seen without her engagement ring in a clip.

After calling out the person who recorded her without her knowledge, Young said if observers cared, they would have noticed one of her friends taking off the engagement ring to try it on and then returning it to her finger.

The Minnesota-based beauty added that she and her then-fiance were humans, not a “zoo exhibit.”

Until their breakup, Olukoya and Young proudly gushed over each other and spoke about their decision to get engaged.

Young admitted in December 2021 that she fell in love with her ex every day and knew he was her “person” even though she initially believed she could not love “at that level.”
