Charli D’Amelio At Center Of New TikTok Romance
There are rumors of a new celebrity teen romance circulating around the Internet. Are TikTok star Charli D’Amelio and Landon Barker dating? It appears that way. A source told People, “They’re seeing each other, and it’s early stages.” Neither Barker nor D’Amelio have officially confirmed their relationship yet, but they have been known to have the same circle of friends and hang out together often.
Chapter One of Their Love Story
Speculation of their new romance began after the two, both 18, were photographed leaving Barker’s concert together in mid-June. They were also recently seen leaving the album release party for D’Amelio’s sister Dixie together. And of course, they both follow each other on Instagram.
Matching Tattoos?
Further fueling the rumors of their possible relationship, D’Amelio and Barker both shared Instagram stories of their new tattoos on the same day by the same Los Angeles tattoo artist, Arbel. According to D’Amelio’s Instagram story, her new ink is of a small heart. While it’s unclear what tattoo Barker got at the same time as D’Amelio, recent photos show he also has a small heart that matches her tattoo exactly.
The Road to D’Amelio’s Stardom
After joining TikTok in 2019, D’Amelio became its most followed account because of her viral dances. By 2020, she had more than 100-million followers. To celebrate such a big feat, she said, “I can’t believe there’s 100 million supporters following me right now. That is insane, oh my goodness. Y’all can’t grasp that this is real, I still feel like it’s a dream, kind of waiting to wake up. Very insane. Oh my goodness, thank you!”
The TikToker’s Dating History
D’Amelio previously dated musician and fellow TikToker Chase Hudson, a.k.a. Lil Huddy. They were first confirmed to be dating in December 2019, but they split in April 2020. She announced the breakup on Instagram stating, “Since you guys have watched mind and Chase’s relationship from the start, I decided I needed to tell you all that we are no longer together. It hurts me to say this, but we’ve decided that this is what’s best for both of us.” She also explained that there are no hard feelings between the two. “We are still close friends and I would not change that for anything! I truly have so much love for Chase and wish him nothing but the best for him,” she said. “It makes me happy to see all of the great things he has going for him.”
Barker’s Story
Barker, the son of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler, and brother to Alabama, 16, hasn’t been linked to any romances recently. Barker is not new to the spotlight. While growing up, his family had their own reality show on MTV for two seasons called “Meet the Barkers.” He was also recently seen on an episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” following his father’s engagement to Kourtney Kardashian.
He was previously rumored to be in a relationship with social media personality Devinity Perkins in 2016, but no one since. Barker is also a popular TikToker with more than 1.7 million followers.
