Money In The Back 2022 Results, Live Review, And Match Updates

Find out the winners and losers of the WWE PPV as the event happens.

It’s time for Money in the Bank, and results for the WWE PPV are posted below and will be updated as the evening goes on. There will be two ladder matches, and the winner will receive a contract for a championship match, and they’ll have up to a year to cash it in. The Kickoff Show is over, so check out the results and a review below.

This year’s MITB PPV takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Outside of the two ladder matches, there are numerous championship matches, with the Undisputed Championship being noticeably absent. Don’t worry though, that will be defended at Summerslam at the end of the month.

On top of the two MITB matches, there are four championship matches on the card, with the most anticipated being Ronda Rousey defending her Smackdown Women’s Championship against Natalya. Additionally, Bobby Lashley and Theory will stop posing and start fighting for the United States Championship. The full list of MITB matches is listed below.

If you want to watch Money in the Bank–or a replay after it airs–you’ll need the streaming service Peacock . While the streaming service does have a free tier, you will not be able to watch the WWE event through that. You’ll need a Premium ($5 a month, with ads) or Premium Plus Peacock ($10 a month, no ads) account. Regardless of which tier you choose, there will be a few WWE-related ads throughout the show.

There are multiple ways to watch the Peacock streaming service. In addition to mobile devices and on the PC, you can stream the service on Amazon Fire devices, Android TV, Apple TV, LG Smart TVs, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Roku, Samsung Smart TVs, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xfinity, and more.

Main Card

Women’s Money in the Bank match

Liv Morgan wins.

Mat: Hi. I’m alone. Chris is sick. You know what else is sick? Becky Lynch’s entrance outfit. Are those glasses functional? Who even cares. Partway through the match, I’ve come to the conclusion that the ladders are cursed. Between a few rough spots and mishaps, it’s apparent the ladders are out to get these wrestlers. We’re at a point where we’ve seen a lot of what opponents can do in these matches, so it’s hard to find new spots that really wow the crowd. We got a few cool moments–like Liv’s sunset flip powerbomb on Lacey from the ladder–and it was a fun bout, but nothing really wowed me here. I loved seeing Asuka and Lynch go at it, but the match felt a little lacking. Anyway, Liv got a well-deserved win. It’s time to see what she can do in the upper-echelon of the women’s pision. The icing on the cake for the match was seeing Lynch unhinged at the end after not winning.

United States Champion Theory vs. Bobby Lashley

Mat: It’s wild to me that during Bobby Lashley’s entrance, he isn’t holding a tiny golden statue of himself that he gives to a young fan in the crowd. You can call it “The Golden Bobby.” WWE, I have plenty of other great ideas if you want them. It’s great to see Lashley in a PPV match that’s not against Omos, so Lashley can show off that he’s a great powerhouse wrestler. He’s a lot of fun to watch, especially as a babyface. Lashley winning here was a smart move. I’d love to see these two have a rematch at Summerslam. They have good in-ring chemistry.

Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair vs. Carmella

Any time Corey Graves talks about Carmella, I laugh a whole lot. He talks about how beautiful he thinks she is a lot, and it’s so amusing to me. Did you know they’re a couple? Of course you did. We all did. Carmella herself is a fantastic heel. She fits the sneaky/cocky persona exceptionally well, and while this match was a bit short, it was better than I thought it would be, primarily because of Carmella really leaning into that persona. Belair is always great, but I underestimated Carmella coming into this match, and I’m a dumb-dumb because of that. The post-match attack by Carmella makes it seem like we’ll be getting a rematch at Summerslam, which will be a lot of fun.

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The Street Profits

The Usos win by pin.

Mat: This is my main event, the match I’m most excited for. These are two fantastic tag teams that are going to put on a show. The four put on some great, memorable spots, like Dawkins being suplexed into the ringpost outside or Ford being superkicked while coming off the top rope. Somehow, this exceeds the already super high expectations I had for this one. This was a showcase for all four men, especially Ford. It’s telling a fantastic story of these men who are hungry for titles taking on one of WWE greatest tag teams of all time. It is easily the match of the night so far and one of the best tag team matches of the year, even if there was a tiny bit of awkwardness for the finish.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Natalya

Mat: Natalya pulled off the biggest heel move on her way to the ring: she gave a young fan some sunglasses. No matter how great this match is, it’s following a banger, and it’s an uphill battle to keep the crowd–and people at home–engaged. What this duo delivered was a technical battle with back and forth submissions and reversals. Rousey putting Natalya in the Sharpshooter and doing Shawn Michaels’ patented flex as the icing on the cake. This battle was against each other. It was against the audience, and the duo eventually won over the crowd. Rousey winning made sense here.

Liv Morgan vs. Ronda Rousey

Liv Morgan wins by pin.

Then, Liv cashed in her MITB contract, and it felt a little too soon, and the match seemed like it was going to end real quickly with Rousey getting the submission. However, Liv somehow made it out on top. It’s a great moment for Liv and for the fans. I’m not rating this match though as it was a real quick one.
