Fan Outrage Grows Over $5,000 Dollar Star Wars Cocktail
It seems that there is a limit to how much Star Wars fans are willing to spend on merch, especially edible merch.
More specifically, Disney unveiled their new Star Wars-themed cocktail. While it’s certainly a feast for the eyes, fans aren’t sure the $5,000 dollar cocktail is worth it.

Although it’s a pretty impressive drink, fans aren’t quite sure it’s worth the $5,000 dollar price tag.
As Inside the Magic noted, five grand can either get you a two-night stay at the Star Wars Galactic Starcruise at the Disney World Resort… or one cocktail at the Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge on the Disney Wish.

A fan posted a screenshot of the Kaiburr Crystal cocktail on the menu, just to prove that it was the real deal. “It better come with a real lightsaber,” they joked.

Another user pointed out that the drink had been shown in a sizzle reel at the D23 event. They tweeted, “Wait lmao they showed the camtono in a sizzle reel at D23 with the implication being it was part of a typical experience at the lounge. Jenny jokingly added, “At least now we know why that guy on Bespin would rather die than leave this at the table.”

Another user pointed out that such a hefty price tag for a cocktail, however impressive, should be illegal.
Jenny continued to tweet about the drink, tweeting, “Disney influencer tasting $5000 star wars cocktail: ‘While I admit it IS expensive, if you HAVE the money it IS yummy.’”
Another user replied, “$5000 star wars cocktail should be illegal.”

However, some users felt that if someone has the money and wants to spend it on a cocktail… why not? As one user tweeted, “People choose what to loose their money on. Some go to the casino, others buy 5k space drinks.”
Even if I had Oprah’s kind of money to burn, I’d never waste $5000 on a stupid, gimmicky drink. I’d rather give that $5,000 to a family who needs it.

However, plenty of fans felt that there were better things to spend their money on. One fan tweeted, “Even if I had Oprah’s kind of money to burn, I’d never waste $5000 on a stupid, gimmicky drink. I’d rather give that $5,000 to a family who needs it.”
Considering that many fans thought that a two-night Galactic Starcruise was exorbitant, it’s hard to imagine that anyone would anyone shell out $5,000 dollars for one cocktail. At least the video has been widely shared online, so if you’re curious to see what it looks like, you can save your wallet and simply pull out your phone instead!
