Acclaimed rapper Kanye West has dropped another project that honors his mother.

Fans of the multi-award-winning singer are well aware of his close relationship with his late mother, Donda West, who died in 2007. West has often spoken out about how his mother, who raised him on her own, was so caring and supportive of his work and was the stabilizing influence that anchored his ascension to the top of the music industry.

Following her passing, West released various projects honoring and showcasing his bond with his late mother. Now, the rapper has released a new music video for his hit single “Life Of The Party,” which once again highlights that he would always fondly remember her.

Kanye West’s ‘Life Of The Party’ Video Includes Photos Of His Late Mother

While any day would have sufficed for the release of his “Life Of The Party” video, West, now legally known as Ye, selected Mother’s Day to memorialize his late mother with the premiere of his new project.

The video included historical photos of the artist and his mother, such as an old ID, newborn photos, school photos, and other images taken throughout the years, which were made to appear as though they were singing along to the single by utilizing deep fake technology.

The “Life Of The Party” video has earned over a million views, and a hundred thousand plus likes on YouTube since its release, indicating that it has been well accepted by the rapper’s followers. The new project also comes after West pulled out of his slated headline set at the recently concluded Coachella event, with The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia moving in to replace him.

More On ‘Life Of The Party’

“Life of the Party” debuted on Kanye West’s deluxe edition of “Donda” after being cut off from the original album. It was first launched as a Donda Stem Player exclusive in October 2021 before being included in the deluxe edition of “Donda” in November 2021.

While the version in the recently released music video just featured West’s vocals, the original track on the deluxe album was a collaboration with Georgia-born rapper André 3000 and was co-produced by West and AllDay.

The film also takes viewers on a journey through Kanye’s life, from birth through childhood to significant life events like his birthdays and graduations. The track concludes with a tape of the celebrity rapping in a house while wearing a polka dot shirt from 1990. His mother can be heard chuckling at the end of the video as she urges her son, ‘Get down, Kanye!’

Fans’ Reaction To ‘Life Of The Party’

On YouTube, fans posted different comments on their reactions to West latest video. For the most part, it was all love from fans who had long anticipated the visuals of the project.

One fan said, “Wow, Kanye killed it but Andre’s verse is incredible. This is the first song that has ever brought me to tears. It represents the un-replaceable love of a mother and the most common flaw of the typical black household where black fathers cheat/leave the mother of their child to be a single mother.”

Another fan commented, “This song feels so out of this world yet nostalgic too whilst being made in the present. I don’t know how Kanye does it, but he’s one in a billion.”

One more follower said, “This is magical, shows the growth and journey he took. I have been listening to this man since I was little, his determination and mentality are really lightyears away.”
