Machine Gun Kelly On His Feud With Slipknot’s Corey Taylor: ‘We All Acted Ridiculous’
Have Machine Gun Kelly and Slipknot’s Corey Taylor finally buried the hatchet?
It doesn’t seem so, but in his new Hulu documentary, “Life In Pink,” MGK does seem to regret his feud with the “Psychosocial” singer.

Back in September, the “Psychosocial” singer tweeted an exchange between the three of them, showing Taylor turning down a collaboration.
“I don’t like people airing private s— like a child,” he wrote. “So this is all I’ll say: I didn’t do the track because I don’t like when people try to ‘write’ for me. I said NO to THEM. So without further ado…. #receipts. This is all I’m going to say about it.”
One of the messages reads, “I sent Corey an idea for the second half of his verse and he can obviously say f— it but it would be sick to see if it inspired anything or if he could try it like that.”
However, Corey decided he didn’t want to do the track after all. The next day, he sent back a message declining his participation in the collaboration. “Hey man – Sorry I missed your call last night btw – I’m on Dad Hours haha,” he began. “So I listened to the ideas and to be honest, I don’t think I’m the right guy for the track. Nothing personal, I just think if this is what MGK is looking for, someone else is the guy to do it.”
“It’s ALL good, and I’m stoked for him- I hope you guys find the right fit for it. Hope you understand and I wish you guys the best with it,” he concluded. “If I can help in any way, let me know. All the best – CT.”
Corey Taylor Calls Out Michelle Gun Kelly: ‘You’ve Been Here For Five Minutes, Basically’
During a Q&A portion of the ShipRocked cruise, Talyor answered questions about his feud with MGK, which was transcribed by The Pit.
“MGK doesn’t like me very much… and let me follow that up by saying I DON’T care,” he began.
“Fast forward about eight months [after turning down the collab], and Machine Gun Kelly is doing this weird Instagram Live interview with Allie from Spotify,” Taylor explained. “And he goes off on this f—ing rant about rock stars and comfortable shoes. It sounds as smart as you think it is. I mean, spit was coming out of his face. And I’m watching it and I’m going, You f—.”
“You’ve been here for five minutes, basically, and you’re gonna f—ing run your mouth about bands that have been doing this for 20 f—ing years, like in the mud, in the dirt,” he went on. “They’re gonna wear whatever the f— they want. You’re gonna walk in here with your f—ing black tongue and try to talk some shit on some bands that would f—ing circle your ass? F— you.”
Machine Gun Kelly Admits ‘I Could Have Handled It Differently’
In the new Hulu documentary, Machine Gun Kelly had a lot to say about his beef with Corey Taylor. His comments were again transcribed by The Pit.
“You know, I was a fan of Slipknot. I was a fan of Corey,” MGK said. “That’s why I’d asked him to get on Tickets to My Downfall. He obviously had mutual respect, too, because he cut a verse.”
“I kind of tried to give notes back, like ‘oh, you know, this wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, can we try this?’ And respectfully he was like, you know, ‘no.’ And I was like, ‘okay, cool.’ So we didn’t use it,” he said. “You know, then I heard him on a podcast.”
MGK seems to be referring to when Taylor is saying, “I hate all new rock, for the most part. The ‘artists’ who failed in one genre and decided to go rock… and I think he knows who he is.”
The “Wait and Bleed” singer didn’t call out MGK by name, but MGK is still sure Taylor is talking about him all the same.
“That narrative always confused me,” MGK continued in his new Hulu doc. “My most successful album was the album I just put out. Hotel Diablo, that’s a rap album that has a billion-plus streams. I could have handled it differently. I should have just picked up the phone and been like hey dude, ‘why would you say that’? But, instead, we all acted ridiculous.”
Fans are eager to hear what Corey Taylor has to say about these new comments! Has the hatchet been buried for good? Or did MGK just reignite the feud once again?
