Why Don’t We Forced to Cancel Upcoming Tour Amid Ongoing Legal Battle, Announce Hiatus

Fans of Why Don’t We just got some sad news from the band.

The five member group – Corbyn Besson, Daniel Seavey, Jack Avery, Jonah Marias and Zach Herron – were set to hit the road later this month for The Good Times Only Tour, but now they are being forced to cancel.

WDW shared the news on their social media, and even shared a portion of the cease and desist letter from their management company, Signature Entertainment Partners.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances related to our ongoing legal battle to emancipate ourselves from the production company we signed with when we started our Why Don’t We journey, we regretfully have to cancel our 2022 Good Times Only Tour,” the guys wrote.

“All we ever want to do in our careers is make great music and perform for all you lovely people,” they continued.

They assured fans that “refunds will be automatically processed at the point of purchase,” and they also announced that the band will be going on hiatus.

“In light of this announcement, Why Don’t We is officially going on hiatus. Your love and support means everything to us 5 guys. We love you!” they said.

Included in their post was a cease and desist letter from the managers, saying without the company, WDW “does not have the capacity” to enter an agreement with a tour promoter or venue for the tour. It also states they were to cease and desist from “promoting or otherwise proceeding with the tour or using Signature’s intellectual property rights without Signature’s authorization.”

It was signed by the managers they are trying to end their contract with.

This news comes a little more than a month after they re-announced the tour was back on, after previously pausing ticket sales due to ongoing litigation.

Why Don’t We has been in an ongoing legal battle with their managers, trying to get out of their contract, following years of alleged abuse and failure to be paid for their work.
