Danielle Fishel Doesn’t Think ‘Boy Meets World’ Handled Body Image In a Positive Way
Danielle Fishel is opening up about the topics she and her co-stars Rider Strong and Will Friedle will tackle on their new podcast, Pod Meets World.
The 41-year-old actress spoke with Insider, saying that one of the hot topics that they absolutely will cover in their re-watch of Boy Meets World is body image.

Danielle admits that she doesn’t think the sitcom handled body image in a “positive” way.
In a previous interview with People, Danielle had recalled only weighing 89lbs when she was 16 and filming the show.
“I was terrified to eat,” she said at the time, before revealing that she had a diet of only iceberg lettuce to try and lose weight.
Now, Danielle, Rider and Will aren’t going to be shying away from the hard topics, which include body image.
“We’ve had enough time away from the show that we can actually honestly look back at it and have adult eyes and 2022 eyes, and see how ‘Boy Meets World’ affected what ended up being the rest of our lives,” she adds.
Another topic the trio will chat about is racism, which was brought to light a few years ago with Trina McGee.
