‘Gentleman Jack’ Series Creator Reveals They’re Shopping For New Home After HBO Cancellation
Gentleman Jack was making a major statement on television before HBO made the decision not to move forward with a season three on the network.
The series is set in 1832 West Yorkshire, England, and inspired by the true-story and coded journals of Anne Lister (Suranne Jones). The series follows her attempt to revitalize her inherited home, Shibden Hall. Most notably for the time period, a part of Lister’s plan is to help the fate of her own family by taking a wife.
In a new interview, series creator Sally Wainwright opened up about the hopes of bringing the show to another streamer or network for a third season.
