Every Upcoming Tom Holland Movie
Tom Holland has a very busy movie schedule for the next couple of years. Here are all the confirmed upcoming films that the actor will appear in.

Every Upcoming Tom Holland Movie

Spider-Man: No Way Home and Uncharted’s Tom Holland will star in several upcoming movies. Although most upcoming Tom Holland movies are fast-paced action adventures, he’s also trying his hand at a biopic to flex his acting muscles in a new direction. While being the MCU’s friendly neighborhood web-slinger has been career-defining for Tom Holland, Spider-Man is just one of the many roles that has allowed the actor to realize his potential. By exploring different genres for Holland’s future projects, he’s giving his fans more opportunities to see different sides of him with each new movie.

Starting his career on stage via Billy Elliot the Musical in London’s West End, which he starred in from 2008 to 2010, Holland’s Hollywood debut movie was the 2012 J.A. Bayona disaster movie, The Impossible. This was followed by Ron Howard’s In the Heart of the Sea in 2015. Holland’s big break, however, came when he was introduced as the MCU’s Spider-Man in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. His fun, lighthearted approach to Peter Parker instantly made him a worldwide sensation, which Holland has worked hard to maintain.

Holland has reprised the role several times since with overwhelming success. He obviously enjoys portraying the superhero since Tom Holland’s future projects include three more Spider-Man movies after Spider-Man: No Way Home. From familiar roles to totally new endeavors, the following list is of all upcoming Tom Holland movies that have been confirmed for release.

MCU Spider-Man Movies After No Way Home (TBD)

Following Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland is expected to return to the MCU for three additional Spider-Man movies. Sony producer Amy Pascal shared in an interview (via Fandango) that No Way Home wasn’t the last Spider-Man film Sony would make with Marvel: “We’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.” The web-shooting superhero has had a somewhat confusing ownership history since the rights to the character have been owned by Sony since 1998, but more recent agreements with Marvel have allowed Spider-Man to appear in the MCU. Confirmation that this agreement will be continuing for at least three more movies allows for the possibility of introducing Holland’s Spider-Man to characters like Venom, Morbius, and perhaps even Miles Morales. This is great news for many, as there’s no doubt that out of all the upcoming Tom Holland movies, the Spider-Man ones are the most highly anticipated.

Untitled Fred Astaire Biopic (TBD)

It was confirmed (via Twitter) that Tom Holland is starring in a Fred Astaire biopic for Sony. Astaire was a wildly talented American performer whose skills ranged from acting to singing, choreography, and dancing. He is often considered one of the greatest dancers in film history. Holland has a lot of experience portraying Americans and has also proven to be a rather talented dancer himself thanks to appearances on shows like Lip Sync Battle. The movie is in pre-production with only Tom Holland attached to the project so far, so it will be several years yet before this film is completed.

Beneath a Scarlet Sky

In what could be Tom Holland’s most serious role yet, Beneath a Scarlet Sky will put Holland at the center of the real story of Pino Lella, an Italian teenager in World War II. Based on the historical 2017 novel of the same name by author Mark Sullivan, Beneath a Scarlet Sky is a Pascal Pictures production, reuniting Holland with Spider-Man cast member Amy Pascal. In Beneath a Scarlet Sky, Pino, whose country has been taken over by the fascist Mussolini and his Nazi allies, joins the underground movement to help Jews escape to Switzerland, but is later enlisted into the German army by his parents. When Pino gets injured, he is assigned to a post that puts him at a significant advantage as a member of the Italian resistance – serving as Adolf Hitler’s personal driver.

The Crowded Room

Apart from these various upcoming Tom Holland movies, the actor will also be starring in an Apple TV+ series called The Crowded Room, an inspiring anthology about the true stories of “those who have struggled, and learned to successfully live with, mental illness.” The Crowded Room season 1 will run for 10 episodes, developed and written by A Beautiful Mind and the Star Trek: Picard cast’s Akiva Goldsman, who adapted the biography The Minds of Billy Milligan by author Daniel Keyes. In The Crowded Room, Tom Holland steps into the shoes of Danny Sullivan, whose life is based on the real story of Billy Milligan, the first man in history to be acquitted of a crime because he was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder. Danny Sullivan could prove to be Holland’s most challenging role.

Uncharted 2: Will It Happen?

One of the big upcoming Tom Holland movies could be Uncharted 2. The release of Uncharted was fraught with difficulty, and there were significant changes when it came down to directors, storylines, and actors. Eventually, the dust settled, and audiences were greeted with Uncharted in February of 2022. The difficulties didn’t stop there for the movie, however. Critics panned the film for not being compelling enough and acting as a re-hash for other treasure-hunting movies like Indiana Jones. In addition, the chemistry of the cast came under scrutiny. On the other side of the spectrum, audiences loved Uncharted, even giving the film a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. Such a dichotomy rarely happens, but Sony noticed that the movie was beloved by moviegoers — prompting an official/unofficial sequel announcement from the studio.

While nothing has been set in stone for Uncharted 2, Sony stated that they were so happy with the success of Uncharted that they saw this as the beginning of a franchise, basically saying that the sequel is happening without actually putting pen to paper. It could be that the studio is delaying Uncharted 2‘s official release because Tom Holland is taking a break from his career. However, based on the success of the first one, this is among the upcoming Tom Holland movies that should be abseiling down a cliff sometime in the next few years.
