Israel Adesanya didn't hold back when asked what about the strangest way he has ever made weight for a fight – admitting he had to 'bust a nut' before a weigh-in.

Adesanya is set to face Alex Pereira at UFC 281 this weekend, a man who beat him twice in kickboxing including a knockout, but didn't struggle weighing-in like he has in the past.

Opening up in a chat with reporter Taylor Rooks, the Nigerian-New Zealander UFC icon debated over revealing his true answer – before coming clean.

The 33-year-old immediately started squirming in his chair while looking to the side for approval – or trying to buy himself some time to reconsider.

He said: "Ahhhhh man. F***. F***ing hell! I was trying to… well back in kickboxing back in the day, I was young and I didn't have my dietician who looks after us here."
