Harry Maguire booted a ball at England teammate Jordan Henderson in training before receiving a death stare.

England were preparing for Tuesday's crucial World Cup clash against Wales with a session at their Doha training base on Monday.

The Three Lions stars attempted to recalibrate after their disappointing 0-0 draw with the USA with a competitive mini-game. But the congested pitch result in a hilarious gaffe by defender Maguire.

The Manchester United centre-back received the ball in a tight space and opted to try an ambitious cross-field ball. But his effort drilled into midfielder Jordan Henderson at close-range instead.

The Liverpool captain received a venomous blow to the upper body, before the ball ballooned out of play. And Henderson made sure to give his club rival an angry look for the stinging strike.

Maguire made no such errors during his performance against the USA on Friday. He was a bright spark in an otherwise torrid showing, dominating the England box with his headers and clearances on his way to keeping a clean sheet.

Meanwhile, Henderson was brought on by Gareth Southgate in the second-half of the snooze-fest but was unable to impact the game. The central-midfielder is expected to make his first start of the tournament against Wales as Southgate tweaks his starting-eleven.
