Gareth Bale pushed away a TV camera after Wales were knocked out of the World Cup by England with a 3-0 defeat.

Bale, who was substituted at half-time by manager Rob Page after struggling with a hamstring issue, had to watch on from the bench as his team-mates conceded three times in the second half, a result which saw them finish rock bottom of Group B.

His frustrations appeared to boil over after the final whistle as he shoved a camera which had been put in his face twice by an operator who attempted to follow him around the pitch.

The 33-year-old went on to congratulate most of England's victorious players and thanked the travelling Wales supporters with the rest of Page's squad.

Despite his repeated injury woes, Bale hinted he would play on until Euro 2024 in Germany in his post-match interview. Ahead of qualifying next year, he said: "We go again in March.

"I will keep going as long as I can and as long as I am wanted. I hope so."

Wales' first World Cup finals appearance since 1958 ended in disappointment, picking up just one point from their three group games which came in the opening draw with the USA.

But Bale insisted they must reflect on the bigger picture, adding: "Everyone is disappointed. I think we're all proud of what we've achieved to get here. We have to look at how far we've come.

"Of course we would have loved to get past the group but football is difficult. We didn't quite live up to our expectations but we will take massive experience from it. To be at a World Cup, we need to look how far we've come."
