Polish beauty landed dream job in journalism at World Cup thanks to gorgeous looks

A Polish beauty landed her dream job in journalism after gaining notoriety for her stunning looks.

Marta Barczok was thrust into the limelight at Euro 2016 where she was dubbed Poland's most beautiful fan. The flattering moniker also saw her crowned her country's Miss Euro 2016.

However, it was her appearance at the 2018 World Cup held in Russia that propelled the brunette to superstardom. Marta's slew of stunning photos made her "super-famous" and FIFA even posted one of her model-esque shots on their official World Cup page.

Speaking on her new-found fame, Marta said: "The World Cup made me super-famous. There are so many articles about me in all kinds of media all over the world.

“My pictures from the World Cup 2018 were everywhere. FIFA, the main organizer of the World Cup, even posted my picture on their Instagram profile.

"People loved me, they called me a Polish beauty and the Polish media called me the Polish Miss World Cup." But Marta's looks also helped her land her dream role in journalism, along with a host of modelling gigs and business deals.

Marta's first foray into journalism was with CKM, Poland's version of Playboy. She added when speaking to Russia Beyond: "I always wanted to be a journalist. (The) World Cup made my dream came true!

"When I reached Red Square in Moscow, people started recognizing me and everyone wanted to get a picture with me. This was crazy; I felt like a real pop star, I loved it!”

However, Marta's career as a journalist was short-lived as her stock kept rising, leading to her gaining over half a million followers on Instagram. But fans at Qatar's World Cup have been deprived of her beauty as she stayed away from the region due to its poor human rights record.

Despite her feelings towards the tournament's hosts, Marta's backed England to reach the semi-finals with the help of her favourite player – Harry Kane.
