Roy Keane’s reaction to England goal against Senegal at World Cup has fans howling

Roy Keane's mundane reaction to England's goal against Senegal at the World Cup left fans howling on social media.

The Three Lions won the last-16 tie 3-0, courtesy of goals from Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane, and Bukayo Saka. And when they took the lead in the 38th minute after Bellingham's perfectly executed pass to Henderson, pundits Ian Wright and Gary Neville erupted with joy.

But their enthusiasm wasn't reciprocated by Irishman Keane. As the English duo jumped for joy, a nonplussed Keane casually turned around and started jotting down notes, to the delight of fans.

And they flocked to social media in droves to poke fun at Keane's reaction. One user howled: "Roy Keane taking notes after a goal for a country he isn't from. Hilarious." A second fan claimed to know what Keane wrote, adding: "I got a copy of the note Roy Keane made."

And a third user declared: "Wrighty and Neville celebrating while Roy Keane furiously makes notes is a great clip." While a fourth fan quipped: "Love the footage of Ian Wright celebrating his head off at that goal and Roy Keane just writing his list of who’s tires he’s gonna slash."

Although Keane had nothing to say about England's goal, he did find the words to blast Senegal's fans for their "annoying" dance routines before the game. He found himself at odds once again with Neville and Wright, who praised the African nation's vibrant displays.

Wright's the polar opposite of Keane, and the Arsenal legend was branded England's best hype man after they disposed of Wales in the group stages. Wright will be hoping the Three Lions will give him a reason to dance in the quarter-finals when they take on France.

The French stormed into the last eight spurred on by a double from Kylian Mbappe in their 3-1 over Poland. But despite Mbappe's magnificent performance, Keane insists England can still get past Les Blues and said: "Of course he’s the best player in the world, but it doesn’t mean you can’t win a game of football against him”
