Selfies are a uniquely modern habit that many of us indulge on especially while on holiday.

After all, when you're spending a week, a day or even a few hours somewhere very beautiful, sunny and fun you want to share with friends, family and maybe even fans.

However, selfies have caused a number of issues in recent years – with some people even dying due to taking them in dangerous places.

Less tragically, other photo fans have earned the ire of locals due to their attention-grabbing snaps – such as one influencer being banned from Bali for taking a naked snap by a sacred tree.

Now, it seems that fellow tourists aren't the only people to grow sick of the trend.
