Rangers hooligans ‘dress as smurfs’ for scrap and blur out legs in ‘victory photo’

Rangers hooligans have been mocked for "dressing as smurfs" for a scrap before blurring out their legs in a "victory photo".

A group of Rangers supporters posed for a snap that has since been shared on social media by Twitter page Hooligans.cz Official, with the image showing members of the Rangers Riot Crew in a forest. They can be seen posing with their fists up and holding a flag with the firm's name and logo on.

The fans are all wearing blue t-shirts and ski masks, with their faces and legs also blurred in order to hide their identities.

According to the caption, the victory photo comes from a recent organised brawl with Brentford fans, including details of the six vs six fight, which took place across two rounds of 35 and 40 seconds in length. It added that both rounds were won by Rangers.

Rival fans have been quick to mock the Rangers hooligans, with one sharing a gif comparing them to the Smurfs due to their all blue outfits, and one supporter saying: "Grown men meeting up for arranged 35 second gang fights."

Another commented: "Shoes and legs blurred out. These are grown men." A third fan added: "Beyond cringe." One more wrote: "What a bunch of losers." Another also said: "Never have I seen legs blurred out. ‘Hooligans’ some laugh these days."

Meanwhile, one English fan joked: "Fancy going out for a pint mate? Nah, I’m off to Scotland to meet up with the Rangers firm in a forest to have a 75 second straightener."

The hooligans' victory snap comes after Rangers fans clashed with Celtic supporters ahead of the Viaplay Cup final at Hampden Park last month.

Footage from the streets of Glasgow showed fans of both clubs coming to blows on February 26, with traffic cones being thrown in ugly scenes before the match.

Celtic went on to win the final 2-1 and it will not be their last meeting this season. The Old Firm will face off in the league on April 8 before meeting in the Scottish Cup final on April 30. They will also play again after the Scottish Premiership splits in two.
