Philip Schofield remains a nominee of Best Presenter at the National Television Awards despite his recent ITV scandals.

The blunder was pointed out by comedian Mark Grimshaw via his Twitter account @MarkGComedyUK, drawing attention to voting still remaining open for Schofield.

The Manchester-based stand-up wrote: "Just throwing it out there that voting is currently open on the National TV Awards, and Phillip Schofield is still nominated for Best Presenter, if anyone wants to help the funniest possible outcome happen in September."

Phillip suffered a particularly public fall from grace this week, after his sudden departure from This Morning after his brother was convicted for child sex offences.

The 61-year-old then faced media backlash when it was revealed that he had an affair with a young ITV employee whilst still married to his wife of 30 years, Stephanie Lowe.
