David Beckham has earned more money, appearing on the iconic FIFA video games than he did playing for Manchester United, Real Madrid and the rest of his club.

The former England captain won everything there was to win in club football and earned 115 international caps for the Three Lions. However, it appears the real money was made in the PlayStation and Xbox games as previous reports understand he banked himself a three-year deal worth £40m to appear on the FIFA games.

Beckham’s MLS franchise Inter Miami, who are set to imminently unveil Lionel Messi, also feature in the popular game.

While the 48-year-old may no longer be kicking a football in real life, his FIFA character is still earning further millions for himself

“It is a big addition to the Beckham brand and the easiest money he’s ever made.” At the time, a spokesperson from EA Sports FIFA chose to deny the huge figures quoted at the time.
