Jurgen Klopp would be left "furious" if Liverpool accept an eye-watering bid of around £118million for Mohamed Salah from Saudi Arabia with just days left until Transfer Deadline Day.

Saudi side Al-Ittihad are ready to test Liverpool's resolve – but the club are holding a firm stance, already insisting their starman isn't up for sale.

Liverpool believe that Salah leaving could derail their season, which has already experienced a shaky start. Klopp's side had to rely on Darwin Nunez to rescue them on Sunday against Newcastle.

And, according to the Daily Mail, Saudi chiefs have now travelled to Europe to try and land Salah, believing the player will be keen to listen to their offer.

Saudi Arabia reportedly sees Salah as the jewel in their footballing crown ahead of the Club World Cup, which will be hosted in Saudi later this year.

Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas shut down reports of an impending move earlier this summer – but that hasn't stopped Saudi sides from making approaches towards Liverpool.

The report continues to suggest Klopp is privately worried that Salah could make the switch to the Middle East, and he would be "furious" if that did happen.

Liverpool have already seen a number of stars move to Saudi Arabia this summer – including Fabinho and Jordan Henderson.

Allison has also been linked with a move to the Middle East, but there has been no official approach for the keeper.
